Every year about 181,000 women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States. 44,000 die of the disease each year.

There is no known cure for breast cancer and those of us who have been diagnosed with it know it could return at any time.

On November 12, 1997 I started the "Faces of Breast Cancer Gallery." Every other day I will add one person to the Gallery to represent the approximate 1000 who are diagnosed during that two day time period.

If you have breast cancer or if you have a relative or friend who has it or has died from it and would like to be in the Gallery, please email me the following: Name, state/country, date of diagnosis, treatment, remission or mets to where, if you have lymphedema, age at diagnosis (optional), if you were told not to worry about your lump and how the lump was found (BSE, mammogram or doctor's exam).

BCFORUM

BCforum is the chat room where the Internet Breast Cancer Support Group meets. If you need support either because you have breast cancer or know someone who does, I urge you to come join us. We meet at 8 pm EST (New York time) every evening for information, hugs and laughter!
