The Austin American-Statesman Article about BCforum

It's hard to say anything light-hearted about breast cancer, so I won't. This chat forum/support group deals with the deadly disease and gives women a place to cut up and talk about the pain and fear they're experiencing. Site frequenter and Austinite Donna Degnan (who goes by "Dee" online) said, "This is a place where women suffering from breast cancer can find family and friends. It has given me tremendous support." The forum takes place weekly on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 7pm.
BCforum is the chat room where the Internet Breast Cancer Support Group meets. If you need support either because you have breast cancer or know someone who does, I urge you to come join us. We meet at 8 pm EST every evening for information, hugs and laughter!
-
Information - because when it comes to breast cancer, we need to be informed about all aspects of the disease.
-
Laughter - because we want everyone to feel better when they leave the room than when they came.
-
Hugs - because good friends hug each other.

Wednesdays at 8 pm EST (New York time) we have meetings for the men in the lives of those with breast cancer in the Men'sRoom. If you're a person with breast cancer, please tell your husband/significant-other/son/brother/father/friend/co-worker the room is for them. The Men'sRoom is hosted by David, his wife was treated for breast cancer in 1993.
