It was the day before Mother's Day, and a lot else was going on, so there were just 6 of us, and we weren't all there at the same time.
But we had a good time, and ate too much -- it was a covered-dish event.
Barb drove down from the Philadelphia area, met me in Delaware, and we drove the rest of the way together. That made her the very first person from the BC list I had met face to face.
Lisa greeted Barb with, "How are your grapefruit?" and they proceeded to check out each other's implants. But at least they kept their shirts on ;-)
The shrimp were delicious, the fruit was lucious, the chili was tasty, there were several good salads, and the deserts... Did I mention that we ate too much?
Elaine had hoped to entertain us on her patio, but it rained, drizzled and sprinkled all day.
We gabbed, played with Elaine's dog and two cats (the kids were too dignified to play with us sillies), talked about others on the list, and ate.
It was my first BC gathering, and the only group I've ever been in where everyone makes casual mention of eating tofu and other soy products and no one pulls a disgusted face. But we didn't eat tofu that day. We did, however, eat too much. Did I mention that? - Jane
