Once upon a time there were two little girls who met at a summer camp in New York state.
They became close friends.
When summer ended they continued to be friends. One lived in Brooklyn, the other in Queens. They took the subway back and forth, visited each other for overnights, and generally had fun. As time passed they lost touch with other, but kept their fond memories
Recently, at a lunch in San Francisco for Bobbie Rivere
(picture from the Gallery) and her husband Bob who were visiting from NY, Paula Campbell and Bob were comparing notes about growing up in Brooklyn.
Paula
(picture from the Gallery) mentioned the street on which she lived as a child. Turns out Bobbie and Bob met each other for the first time at a meeting on that street.
When Bobbie returned to the table, Bob told her the coincidence that Paula lived on the street where they met. Bobbie asked Paula what her maiden name was. When Paula told her, Bobbie grabbed Paula's arm and asked if she had ever gone to camp. Bobbie then told Paula HER maiden name.
THEY ARE THOSE TWO LITTLE GIRLS!!!!!!!
Now that they know, they see each other's childhood faces in their adult faces, and they share their memories of all those years ago. Friends reunited after all these years.
Score another amazing story for the BC list. Here Bobbie and Paula live a continent apart, yet they found each other. If we read this story in the paper, we might not believe it -- what an amazing tale.
